These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and StudyPIP ("we", "us") and apply to your use of our website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or buying an access pass you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. About the Service
StudyPIP provides online preparation material for the CELPIP-General test, including free lessons, practice questions, mock exams and automated (AI-generated) feedback on writing and speaking. We are an independent provider and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Paragon Testing Enterprises, the owner of CELPIP.
2. Your account
- You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure.
- An account is for one person only. Sharing an account or reselling access is not allowed.
- If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian's consent.
3. Free trial
Each account receives a one-time free trial of a limited number of practice sets and answers. The trial cannot be reset, transferred or combined across multiple accounts.
4. Access passes
- Paid features are sold as one-time, fixed-length access passes (for example 14, 30 or 90 days). Passes are not subscriptions and never renew automatically.
- Your access starts immediately when your payment is confirmed. If you already have an active pass, a new pass starts when the current one ends.
- When a pass ends, paid features stop automatically. Your progress history remains available to you.
- Unused days cannot be paused, transferred, extended or exchanged for cash.
5. Prices, payment and taxes
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Applicable sales taxes are calculated and added at checkout based on your location. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase; Stripe's terms also apply to the payment. We never see or store your full card details.
6. No refunds
Because you receive immediate access to digital content and services, all purchases are final and non-refundable, including for unused days, except where a refund is required by applicable law. When you buy a pass you expressly request that access begin immediately and acknowledge that, to the extent permitted by law, you lose any right to cancel or withdraw once access has started. If a payment is reversed — for example through a refund or a chargeback (a dispute raised with your bank) — the related pass is cancelled immediately. We may contest chargebacks and provide evidence of your purchase, your acceptance of these Terms and your use of the Service.
7. AI feedback and scores
Feedback and band or CLB estimates are generated automatically and are provided for practice only. They are not official CELPIP results, may be inaccurate, and do not guarantee any score on the real test.
Fair use. Passes include unlimited practice for normal personal study. To keep the Service fast and fair for everyone, we may limit how many answers can receive automated feedback in a short period (for example, per day). These limits are well above what a student normally needs. If you reach one, you can continue after it resets.
8. Your submissions
You keep ownership of the answers and recordings you submit. You allow us and our service providers to store and process them to provide the Service (including automated transcription and feedback), as described in our Privacy Policy. Voice recordings are deleted once they have been transcribed; we keep the written transcript.
9. Acceptable use
- Don't copy, scrape, redistribute or resell our questions, lessons or feedback.
- Don't interfere with the Service, attempt to bypass access limits, or use it for anything unlawful.
- Don't share your account, or use scripts or automated tools to submit answers.
10. Our content
All content on the Service (lessons, questions, explanations, design and software) belongs to us or our licensors and is provided for your personal, non-commercial study only.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; this does not entitle you to a refund.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version in force when you buy a pass applies to that purchase; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
